James J. Brosnahan, Esq. among the top 30 trial lawyers in the United States, and specializing in complex cases, James J. Brosnahan has tried, to conclusion, 150 cases. Mr. Brosnahan is the recipient of many honors, ranging from his induction to the State Bar of California’s Trial Lawyer Hall of Fame in 1996 to his recognition as a 2012 Lifetime Achiever by The American Lawyer. He serves as Master Advocate on the Board of Trustees of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, and has authored the Trial Handbook for California Lawyers and created an audio lecture series titled Great Trials and Great Lawyers.
Judge Thelton Henderson graduated from Berkley Law in 1962 and became the first black attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. A fierce defender of civil and human rights, he was appointed to the federal branch of the Department of Justice in 1980 by President Jimmy Carter, where he continued to be a proponent for justice for nearly four decades. Although his last day on the bench was Friday, August 11, 2017, he remains a champion for justice. He is the subject of the documentary Soul of Justice: Thelton Henderson’s American Journey, produced by filmmaker Abby Ginzberg, as well as the book Judge Thelton Henderson, Breaking New Ground written by Richard B. Kuhns.
